Connecticut’s Department of Administrative Services is promoting the use of electric vehicles for state agencies, and has begun to add Volts to the state fleet as a pilot program. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has purchased a Leaf and a Volt for use at two of its flagship state parks to promote EVs. Working in partnership, DEEP, the Connecticut Department of Transportation, and University of Connecticut developed guidelines for installation of EV charging stations at state-owned facilities to assist facilities and fleet managers in EV planning.
