EVConnecticut is a partnership between the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Connecticut Department of Transportation, designed to dispel myths about range anxiety by providing information and resources to local governments, businesses and consumers in Connecticut. Through EVConnecticut, the state is offering up to $10,000 in funding for publicly available EV charging station installation in areas more than 15 minutes away from the nearest charger, and $4,000 for other charging stations. The EVConnecticut website also provides basic information on EVs and workplace charging. Overall, the program has supported deployment of more than 94 charging stations in the state, with 100-150 additional chargers to be funded this year.
