Rhode Island has a network of approximately 60 public electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) stations across the state, and is working with other states in the region to evaluate locations for DC Fast Charger deployment. Additionally, $725,000 of Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) auction proceeds will be used to support charging infrastructure deployment, with $600,000 allocated to municipalities and state agencies to support EVSE deployment and/or to pay the cost differential between the purchase of a representative gasoline vehicle and a ZEV, and $125,000 allocated to private and nonprofit entities.
