Rhode Island is in the planning stages for developing its first Workplace Charging Challenge Workshop Event during May/June 2015. The state will invite the top employers in Rhode Island to learn about the DOE Workplace Charging Challenge, listen and talk with employers whom have already taken the pledge and installed EVSEs, and explore available resources. This will also be an opportunity for those involved to participate in a ride-and-drive and explore different charging infrastructure options. The event will serve as a platform to continue building visibility, engaging stakeholders and educating key audiences around ZEV developments.
Several employers in Rhode Island, including Schneider Electric, MetLife, and National Grid have found value in the installation of workplace charging and becoming a DOE Workplace Charging Challenge Partner, and the state is developing language for a state agency workplace charging policy.
