Vermont’s Public Service Department recently released a draft updated State Building Code as well as a Stretch Code for developments that are required to obtain an “Act 205” permit, i.e. larger residential and commercial developments.

Requirements include:

  • Multifamily developments greater than 10 units must make 4% of parking spaces EV-ready (level 1 or level 2 outlets)
  • Commercial establishments must meet varied EV ready requirements for parking depending on the type of commercial activity and total parking spaces.
