Vermont’s ZEV Action Plan establishes a goal of ensuring that a minimum of 25% of light duty state fleet vehicles (purchased and leased) are ZEVs by 2025. This requires adding 6 vehicles per year. Plans are being developed to meet this goal, and a new charging station is being constructed at Fleet Services with eight level 2 chargers.
Vermont’s Buildings and General Services Administration (BGS) just completed a model RFP for state agencies to use when they are seeking to install electric vehicle charging facilities on state properties. The State Agency Energy Plan will be updated in 2015 and will include new goals and strategies for increasing EVs in agency fleets.
